Passportindex.org ranks passports by power, the ability of citizenship to open doors for visas upon arrival, to breeze past customs, to obtain jobs, residency and dual citizenship. There are seven top levels of passports — the most powerful — which get you into between 156 and 162 countries without a visa, or visa upon arrival.
The most powerful passports are from Singapore, South Korea, Japan, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Italy, France, Spain, Luxembourg, Norway, the Netherlands, Belgium, Portugal, Austria.
The next most powerful passports are from the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Ireland, the United States, Canada, Greece, and Malaysia.
The third most powerful passports, that can get you into 156 countries without a visa, come from Malta, Czech Republic, and Australia.
